I've stayed here before and would come here again. The food was brilliant, drinks were warm. My room with a good shower was compact and bright. The breakfast was sensational, the check in was easy. Besides, my parking was on-site.

I liked the staff they were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, a great breakfast with fresh fruit.
The tv was not working well and kept going off channel and was hard to start up but the internet access was good and I prefer radio anyway when travelling alone

Staff very helpful about giving information on local interest. Early breakfast not a problem if you are catching the first ferry to Orkney.
Couldn't get the bedroom door to lock from the outside but this wasn't a big problem as we didn't have any valuables to leave in the room.

Good, clean and restful. Food was excellent, and plenty of it - certainly wouldn't go hungry!

The hotel was comfy and clean, exactly what i needed for a night. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hearty with some good choices, like black pudding and haggis. The location is perfect, with a shop just around the corner! Definitely good value for the price.
But the pillows were kinda lumpy and the mattress felt solid, not what i expected for a superior room. The food quality varied a bit .

Straightforward budget priced hotel which needs updating
did not like to hear staff moaning about their working conditions whilst having breakfast - they were in the adjoining kitchen and I could hear every detail of their gripes

The castletown hotel was super clean and the staff were really nice. I loved the breakfast, it was delish with a lot of choices. The self-service was really good and had everything you need. The hotel bar prices were also reasonable, not too expensive. Oh, and there's a small shop next door for anything you might need!
The wifi was terrible, it kept disconnecting all the time. I couldn't find parking at the hotel itself.

Had a pleasant stay with clean rooms and friendly staff. Food was excellent, especially the breakfast selection. Some furniture could use more attention, and the mattress was a bit too firm for comfort. A good experience, just some minor tweaks needed.
